LOL! too funny. because, yes it did.
I'm at an internet cafe right now and I couldn't figure out how to connect my laptop to the network, so I can't upload pictures right now. I'm only in Auckland for the time being, so city pictures and pictures of me hoolahooping in a bar to win tickets aren't all too exciting.
There's so much for me to take care of right now, it seems quite daunting. So far, I got a cell phone and applied for a tax number so I can work. Sometime in the short future, I gotta look for a job, apartment, maybe a car... stuff like that. But I think I'll take my time with all that, give myself a few weeks to relax.
The main thing I noticed about the downtown (that's where the hostel is) is that there are so many freakin' asian. Goddamnit! The only positive thing about it is the abundance of places to eat cheap asian food. People drive on the opposite side of the road, so I've had a couple scares while crossing the road (god bless me if I decide to get a car).
I've already made a couple mates at the hostel, A German girl and Norwegian... he looks like Orlando Bloom and his name is MAGNUS. Last night we played bingo at the hostel bar for prizes like bar tabs. Magnus won rugby tickets but wasn't staying around long enough to watch the game, so he gave them to me... woohoo! But just getting a Bingo wasn't enough to get the prize... he had to dance to close the deal. I won a "buy one get one free" Stray Pass which will entitle me to free transport within NZ. Problem is one ticket is $1100 so I'll have so find someone who might want to share my prize and cough up half the cost. I'll worry about that later. To get my prize, I had to hoolahoop, but the hoops sucked... even the slutty girls who tried it couldn't get the hoops to stay up, so I had to limbo for my prize... obviously I won that one.
OKAY... IMPORTANT... this is my NZ cell phone number. (011-64)21-02569216. I don't really get how the numbers are formatted yet. I think the first part is the country code, and I think the 21 means it's a cell phone and people calling me domestically would use 021 for the cell phone. anyway... call me or preferabbly text me if you can. I need to figure out if it works alright. I think it's cheap for me to text, free to receive calls or texts, and ridiculously expensive for me to call out. So i'll need to figure out the best way to keep in contact.
