I still can't connect my laptop today, but I remembered I had a flash drive, so I'm able to upload using that.

5 o'clock in the morning when the plane landed in Fiji, we were greeted with tropical sounding music. But after an hour of it while standing in line, I just wanted to punch them.

It's just a different mindset here regarding travel. The pioneering spirit is still alive here.

A view of Auckland's CBD from Mt. Eden. It's an old volcano where people are forbidden from entering the crater because of Maori tradition, though people did it anyway.

Having lunch with people I met on the morning bus tour. Sandra from Germany, Magnus from Norway, and the tour guide. I've had loads of fun with the first two at the hostel the past few days

.

This is sad... it's like their version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It hardly filled the ramp.

Unconventional bingo card marking... stab it with a piece of pasta.

umm...

Rainy days in NZ. It's winter here, so though they don't get the cold temperatures and snow of New England, there's plenty of wind and rain. Put a damper on my plans.

Magnus had to leave the next morning to return to Australia... gotta get used to quick hellos and goodbyes again. Thank god for myspace.

Sandra and I headed to the sky casino last night after loosing miserably in a trivia game at the hostel pub. We lost even more miserably at the casino. Note *don't gamble money you can't afford to lose*
