Coke showing how upset he was that I was leaving that morning.

A tasty way to use up the last of my spare change.

Better believe I'll be wearing my All Blacks shirt proud in the land of our mortal enemies.

With Opshop playing on my ipod... One day you'll understand how much you have me... Goodbye New Zealand.

While filling out the customs forms, I didn't know what to fill Australian address box with... it really hit me then how unprepared I was. Nothing booked, nothing planned... just the idea that I'll land in Brisbane then somehow make my way down the east coast. This is how unprepared I was... when the lady at the check-out counter paused for a moment after scanning my passport, the first thought that came to my head was, oh shit... the speed camera incident in Dunedin that worried me for months, it has finally caught up with me. But no, I needed an entry visa for Australia, which was easily obtainable for $30 from the service counter... and here I was thinking I could just waltz into the country without one. And regarding the speeding in Dunedin; looks like I got away with it, and I finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Upon landing on the new and not too distant continent, I turned on my cellphone. vodafone NZ turned into vodafone AU. It will work here, but with roaming charges, the cost is outrageous, so I got an Australian SIM card. My new number is 0410985213 which I believe would be (+61)410985213 internationally. So please, feel free to call or text. So... here I am in Australia, totally winging it. I've decided to not blog for the remainder of this trip (just quick updates). Time is precious and internet is expensive. Besides, I'd rather be spending time learning to surf than surfing the net! And to anyone who's followed my adventures and commented here, many thanks for the support. It's what keeps me going... And I promise many more stories in the future. Cheers!
