Wushu Center Holiday Party
Saturday December 4, 2004
The Hus hosted a potluck party at the Wushu Center to celebrate the holiday season. It had the traditional christmas chinese food, horrible karaoke, Thong's flashback to the 80's remix, and really lame dancing. But those are the things we love about the wushu parties... family, friends, food... good times.
Mary tries some of my ma's chili dip
It's good! There was plenty of food this time. The last party we had, there was a shortage and the table was wiped cleaned down to the last cracker and they had to order more chinese food.
Thong as always DJs the party... I guess until someone else can come in with all that equipment, we'll be living with his family friendly music selection.
New pictures of taiji performances and the 2004 china trip were put up.
Wayne's back, for a little while...
...so is tiffany... then they return to China. no fair.
mary and rocky admiring tiffany's photobook
alex is... a) explaining football catching technique. b) playing cats cradle with no string. or c) gonna kung fu your ass with a smile.
Master Hu welcomes families and friends.
me and marco... he looked tired as hell from work... and playing halo til 3 in the morning
open wide
he says he doesn't, but you know rich likes being harassed.
the kids were playing ball... with lots of drinks and plates of food in the carpet, smart
kevin does some micheal jackson as usual
no wushu party is complete without peter playing some blues. and this time there were lyrics about the china trip, pretty cool.
the boss and terminator are watching... scary
Bill's daughter dancing like she's on her first spring break... at least she didn't flash the audience like last time.
i'm sorry, i was persuaded. hehe... rich didn't realize how stalker-like the lyrics were until i sang them. "i'll be watching you..."
"gimme the camera"... i can always count on alex to take pictures for me.
psychedelic man
The adults were a lot more into the dancing than the kids were this year... could it be THE MUSIC??? I think there were only two songs from this decade played from the last decade. It felt like the twilight zone.
And the night wore on... and the crowd grew thin. Satified with my wushu party fix, I headed home to get my butt kicked in Halo again.
